Jena's Bridals

For Jena's Bridals we ventured out to Antelope Island. I have never had so many bug bites - ever! It was a gorgeous day for bridals. There was a perfect sun set, perfect bride, perfect dress... everything was perfect. Except for the bugs. While Jena's mom and I swatted away what we could, Jena remained excited and positive and kept on smiling. And despite the bugs, I actually had a great time. The photos Steve took turned out amazing. Here are some favorites:

Ron and Tiffaney get hitched

So, back in April, Ron and Tiffaney got married! The ceremony and reception was at Tuscany Gardens and it was truely a beautiful occasion. It was fun being involved in the whole process of the engagements, the bridals, and then, finally, the wedding. Here are some of my favs:

Jena and Brian: Engagements

Meet Jena and Brian. They are from my hometown of Centerville, so I immediately knew they would be super cool. And then I met them, and low and behold, they were totally super cool. Steve took them to Memory Grove to take their engagements a couple weekends ago and here are some of my favorites from the session. P.S. Doesn't Jena have the prettiest smile?

Tiffaney's Bridals

Have you ever met someone whose personality is bigger than they are? Well, if you haven't, here's Tiffaney. She is this cute, petite girl with a personality and sense of humor that instantly wins you over. If she was physically as big as her personality, she would be able to take on Newman from Seinfeld. She's hilarious and game for anything - a total trooper. The sun was out during the session, but man, oh man, was it chilly. But she kept on smiling and cracking jokes and we all had a lot of fun. Below are some of my favorite photos. The first few were over exposed, but I love how they turned out. I think they're romantic (*sigh*).

These first three photos are almost the same, but I love the different mood each photo captures. There's the first one thats happy, the second one thats shy, and the third thats a demure 'come hither'.
After a few shots, Steve noticed the camera wasn't set how he wanted it to be (hence the over-exposedness...whatever 'over-exposedness' is). But he liked what he accidentally did, so he corrected the exposure a little and got the same affect, but with softer light.
These next shots are 'classic' bridals. And look at her dress. I love the pink accents and beadwork.
This was taken after Tiffaney cracked herself up... I think its a great shot at her true smile.
These next two were taken off the side of the road. As I was driving to the marina from Saltair, Steve yelled for me to pull over.... They are my favorites. If you look at the bottom of the second one you can kind of tell its on the side of the road.

Natalie & Dallas: wedding

Here are some photos of Natalie and Dallas' wedding. Steve had a blast taking their photos. Dallas and his friends were always ready for the camera with a new pose. The brides maids were all gorgeous and willing to do whatever necessary to get a good shot. The day went smoothly, starting out at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building for a luncheon and then to Aspen Landing for the ceremony and reception. Here are a few of my favorites:

Its not my fault...

Wow, I can't believe I let two months pass without a blog entry! I do have a good excuse, though. Steve's computer totally crashed in the middle of January, so we've been sharing a computer. Since he spends most of his time editing photos, updating the website, etc, I don't get a lot of time to do my own thing anymore. Steve is out late tonight, so I actually have a whole half hour before he gets home. I don't have enough time to do a regular entry, so here's a quickie of whats been going on in the cypertphoto world...

In February Steve took Tiffany and Chris' reception photos. They were the so genuine and sooooo nice. When they looked at each other you could feel how deeply they felt about one another. It was great.

Steve also took Natalies Bridals in February. Her dress was gorgeous. It kind of had a retro look to it with layers and lots of detail worked in. We took her up to the state capital for most of the time. I think it was the perfect setting for her personality and her dress. Then we made her freeze for about a half hour while we took photos down the street from the capital at a park. Freezing was worth it, though, as those shots were some of her favorites.

March has been a busy month. Steve took Natalie and Dallas' photos at their ceremony and reception. The reception center had this great stair case and a piano in the corner of the room, both of which were fabulous to work with and used many times for photo settings. It was fun to be a part of their entire wedding experience - the engagement, the bridals, the ceremony, and the reception. We wish you the best Natalie and Dallas!

We took Tiffaney (not the same Tiffany as above) to the Salt Lake Marina and Saltair on Saturday for her bridals. It was a beautiful day - the sun was out, the sky was blue, and it was really COLD! Poor Tiffaney was a great sport though. She just grinned and took it all on. I hope she had as much fun as we did.

Then, this Saturday, we have some engagements to take. And when April starts we have even more going on. It'll be great. And hopefully we'll have our new computer by then. We've done all the research and have narrowed it down to a couple different ones. As soon as we have it and I can spend more time updating the blog, I'll post some pics of all these fun events.

Tiffany's Bridals

So, I usually go with Steve when he has a photography session because I like the fun and excitement...especially with anything that has to do with a wedding. Last weekend Steve had an appointment with Tiffany - a gorgeous brunette with a big smile. I was sooo excited to go. And then I found out on Friday I had to work on Saturday. And you know what I had to do at work? Learn about the different forms and filings pertaining to taxes. Yawn. I was so bummed that I couldn't go with Steve to meet with Tiffany!

Anyway, as soon as I got home I made Steve show me all the pictures and I love all of them! And to make matters more depressing for me, is the fact that Tiffany was willing to do anything. Serious! Steve had her walking around down town, sitting at a trax stop, hiking around Memorial Grove... she is so cool to do that. Its a blast when brides are that willing to let the photographer 'do their thing'. I wish I could've been there. Do you know how much fun I would have had?

Alright, enough of me whinning... Here are some of my favorites of Tiffany. And if you can't tell, I'm a sucker for black & white.
